This is a nice condition German a fired 75mm KwK40 armour piercing projectile used by a Panzer 4 tank this one has blast impact cracks from being fired. The projectile still with nice thread on the bottom so the plug could go back in but is missing its ballistic cap the projectile is empty and inert there are no maker markings on the bottom that can be seen but with a fair bit of original colour and has some remains of its driving bands the rest has come off when the shell was fired it has been very well cleaned it is perfect to display or and a nice one for any collection to get a 75mm kwk projectile from the battlefield. Originally the the complete shell would have been used by German panzer 4 tank in the panzer Lehr division it was recovered from a lake East of Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest from the Battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-45.The projectile comes with A5 laminated information card with pictures.

The shell projectile was recovered from a lake which was used as a dump site for battlefield clearance the area where the lake is, was attacked by the German 26th Volksgrenadier Division and elements of the Panzer Lehr Division they had the only Panzer 4 tanks in the area.
