    This is a nice and very rare glass framed German Leutnant[ Lieutenant] reserve infantry officers shoulder board and part of his privately made field jacket in Zeltbahn 31 splinter pattern camouflage.The parts which are in  relic condition the shoulder board has some original colours also the green camouflage jacket remains still its green colour. The parts are in relic condition but very solid condition not braking up or falling apart they have partly discolored from being buried but have been nicely cleaned and are a lovely battlefield find perfect for display or any collection.They have been mounted in to a glass fronted box frame with information and lots of pictures the frame is 13 inches by 13 inches in size.

    On 12 July the Soviets launched operation Kutuzov, their counter-offensive upon the Orel salient, which threatened the flank and rear of Model's 9th Army. The 12th Panzer Division, thus far held in reserve and slated to be committed to the northern side of the Kursk salient, along with the 36th Motorized Infantry, 18th Panzer and 20th Panzer Divisions were redeployed to face the Soviet spearheads.
