    This is a unusual to find French soldiers 1877 pattern army issue 2 litre water bottle which is not relic and has its large cork stopper and its small wooden stopper both in lovely condition with its original leather carry strap which is lovely condition its original black colour which is solid and not braking up or falling apart.  The bottle has some of its original light blue paintwork and original silver colour it is rusty but only light surface rust not thick heavy rust or holes it is very solid it is in very nice condition smooth to the touch and has been well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The bottle was recovered many years ago on The Verdun battlefield of 1916-1918 in France.
