This is a unusual pair of small barbed wire cutters These wire cutters which are relic they do not work they have rusted solid they are in very nice and solid condition with rust and pitting but they have been nicely cleaned and are perfect for display or any collection and overall a nice example of this unusual design German barbed wire cutters which are only 10 inches long. The cutters were recovered in September 2018 from the area that was Guillemont Station on the July-August 1916 battlefield on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916.Below picture is the shattered remains of Guillemont Station in 1916 after the battle.
