    This is a lid from a shell carry tube which held a complete 8.8cm KwK36,L/56 fired by German Tiger 1 Tank The tube lid has some original paintwork remains not much and handle that has rusted solid it is rusty but solid with a bit of rust damage and has been very well cleaned it is in perfect condition for display or any collection.The lid was recovered from a Lake East of Bastogne from battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.The lid  was recovered from a Lake East of Bastogne from battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.Due to the very low number of Tiger 1 tanks in the battle it is very easy to work out what unit it is from Schwere Panzer Abteilung 506.The shell case comes with A5 laminated information card and picture. 

    The only German Wehrmacht unit with Tiger 1 tanks in the whole battle and offensive 14 of them most were destroyed.They were in the 4th Company of Schwere Panzer Abteilung 506.
