This is fantastic bit of Trench art with bullet head legs that a been welded on the bottom of it and they are fired heads that have bent on impact the case is for the German 15cm schwere howitzer 13 cartridge case which is separated propelling charge it is pretty much undamaged not even much discolour the case still retains its brass colour lovely and clean. The case is complete on the bottom with its original markings and is dated November 1916 fairly clear to see the case is from a private collection on the Somme. A very nice and not easy to find German artillery relic from the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.
