This is a nice condition relic German Army soldiers steel belt buckle which is in nice condition for a relic with its markings still partly visible on the front and on the back the eagle and swastika is faint to see. The buckle is rusty with no paintwork it is in nice solid condition it has been nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The buckle was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield.
