This is a group of 5 aluminium airframe sections which do have some green and black paint work remains fairly clear to see.The parts have ripped and bent by the impact of the crash they all still retain a lot of original colour they are still very solid not braking up or falling apart they still retain there original colours nice and clear to see and they have been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection the parts are 3-7 inches long in size and rare to get such nice group of parts from this battle of Britain Hurricane where there is not much about.The parts come from RAF Hurricane V7309 piloted by Sargent Alan Deller it was shot down on the 7th September 1940 over Kent and crashed in the village of Sutton Valence near Maidstone in Kent during the battle of Britain. A very nice group of relics from the famous battle of Britain Hurricane .The parts come with a A5 laminated information sheet with photograph of the pilot.
Alan Lawrence Martin Deller was born on 8th June 1920 in Lambeth, London and joined the RAFVR about October 1938 as an Airman u/t Pilot. He was called up on 1st September 1939, he completed his training at 5 FTS and arrived at 6 OTU Sutton Bridge on 6th July 1940 to convert to Hurricanes.
On 3rd August Deller was posted to 43 Squadron at Northolt. On the 12th he made a forced landing at Tangmere after an action over the Channel. On 7th September he baled out, unhurt, following a combat over Ashford. His Hurricane, V7309, crashed and burned out at Babylon Farm, Sutton Valence.
