    This is a battle damaged door handle box from a German vehicle door not sure which one the box is 7 inches long and 5 inches wide and has a impact hit which has ripped and bent by the explosion with jagged edges  . The box is in relic but solid condition rusty but not falling apart at all it has been well cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection and a nice find from the battlefield.The door handle part was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice unusual relic from the famous Normandy battlefield. The part comes with a A5 laminated information card.
