This is a British mills brass bomb base plate which is which complete it is in relic condition but still solid condition rare to get in this nice a condition from the battlefield it has cleaned up good enough to be used in a mills bomb again if you wanted to.This plate is dated Feburary 1916 maker marked B.G.L 1912 and is still its original brass colour. The plate was recovered in 2016 at Flers on The Somme the first village on the Somme captured using tanks .A very nice mills bomb relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
