    This is a totally rare large solid aluminium airframe section with 2 tone light blue camouflage paintwork remains the classic American airframe part which is from the under section of the fuselage .Some of the paintwork is very clear to see and it still retains a lot of original colour and this is the largest section i have had from a wildcat. The section has ripped off by the impact of the crash it is in relic but solid condition and has been nicely cleaned perfect for display it is 20 inches long by 4 inches wide in size. The part has been recovered from the crash site of a American Grumman Wildcat fighter shot down and crashed during the air war over the Island of Guadlcanal from the 1942-1943 battlefield. A very rare part to get hold of from the war in the Pacific and comes with 2xA5 laminated information sheets with picture.
