This is a very nice pair of parts which are a large aluminium airframe sections with gray and black paintwork remains and lovely clean part.There is also a section of engine pipework with end fittings that will have maker markings and part numbers but can not be seen that clear this pipe is from the hart of one of the engines which is a nice clean condition part but with some dirt. The parts which all have some of there original colours and have been very well cleaned all the parts have ripped and bent by the impact the crash. The sections are around 10-15 inches long and are perfect for display or for any collection.The parts are from German Heinkel he 111P bomber of 4/kg4 which was shot down and crashed at Fleam Dyke, six mile bottom, Cambridgeshire at 1.15am on the 19th June 1940 in one of the first German night intruder raids over England during the early part of the war.The parts come with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures.
The bomber was shot down by flying officer Petra in a spitfire of NO 19 squadron and squadron leader o'Brien in a Blenheim of No 23 squadron.
Oblt J.Von Arnim,fw.W.Maier and fw.K.Hauck captured.uffz P.Gersch killed the aircraft was wrecked. During this combat flying officer Petra was shot down and forced to bale out of spitfire L1032.Squadron leader O'Brien baled out of the NO23 squadron Blenheim after losing control.Pilot officer Kingclark was killed when attempting to abandon the aircraft and Corporal little was killed on the crash.
