This is a unusual find from the battlefield a Russian zis 3-76mm anti-tank gun range site which is not complete it is the metal outer casing no optics. The range site is rusty and in relic but solid condition it has been well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and a large site at 14 inches long and rare to find from the battlefield and a large chunk of Russian gun.The range site was recovered from the battlefield on the Seelow Heights in 1945 the opening battle for Berlin.A very nice rare relic from the famous Russian gun which comes with a A5 laminated information card.
This battle is often incorporated into the Battle of the Oder-Neisse. The Seelow Heights was where some of the most bitter fighting in the overall battle took place, but it was only one of several crossing points along the Oder and Neisse rivers where the Soviets attacked. The Battle of the Oder-Neisse was itself only the opening phase of the Battle of Berlin.
The result was the encirclement of the German 9th Army and the Battle of Halbe.
