This is a Russian 82mm mortar bomb tail section nice fired relic which is missing a fin. This back section of the standard 82mm mortar it has its primer with its maker markings also dated 1944 and it has blown off in the explosion of being fired nice condition relic which is empty and inert which is de activated by condition and has lovely clear to see black paintwork remains not much but some. The mortar bomb tail section which is in relic but solid condition it still retains some of its original colour it has been very well cleaned the metal is pitted and rusty but overall nice condition for a relic it is perfect for display or any collection . The mortar fin was fired by the Russian 1st Guards Tank Army recovered around the village of Sachsendorf on the Seelow Heights from the 16th -17th April 1945 the battlefield part of the Berlin Defence against the Red Army in last days of War on the Eastern Front. The tail section comes with A5 laminated information card with pictures.
