    This is a Rare find from the battlefield a German battery with paper labels clear to see the markings can been read in places and still has its original red colour on the label. The battery has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection it is in fantastic condition for its age and how fragile it is the battery is dry and not braking up but is still fragile and it is in nice condition it has only survived this well as it has been in a chalk lined bunker for 100 years only ever seen a few of these ever found from the battlefield. The battery was recovered from inside a German bunker near the village of Bucquay which was a German artillery position during the later part of The Somme battle in 1916 a very nice and rare relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
