    This is a Unbelievably rare to get and a real one off Normandy relic which is a American soldiers US Navy M1926 inflatable floatation belt / Life preserver which is complete and has all of its original maker markings with ink stamps and dated 1942. The belt has all of its original colours it is maker marked USN.The belt is very solid not braking up or falling apart it has been well cleaned and is perfect for display and a very rare one for any collection the belt is 50 inches long. The belt was bought at a fair in Normandy during the anniversary celebrations in the early 2000’s. Originally found in the Utah beach area on the Normandy coast from the D-Day landings of 6th June 1944 in France. The belt comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with pictures and information. 

    M1926 inflatable floatation belt, used as a life preserver by assault troops during amphibious actions and beach landings. These belts were inflated by squeezing two switches located inside the belt, which activated two CO2 bottles. If the CO2 bottles failed, the belt could still be inflated by blowing into the rubber covered pipes.
