    This is a very rare group of large parts which are very nice aluminium airframe sections and engine case sections which do have lots of original colours and original green and black paintwork remains and most of there original colours they are aluminium and mag allow made there are 4 parts in all.The parts 2 airframe one a structure joint many parts still riveted together and 2 mag allow case sections one is melted in the fire when the aircraft was hot down.The parts do have some corrosion but nothing to bad they have ripped and bent and smashed by the impact of the crash they have been very nicely cleaned and are perfect for display or any collection and are 5-7 inches long in size and rare bits of aircraft from the famous Dambuster raid. The parts are from RAF Dambuster Lancaster bomber code name O for Orange on the raid, number ED886 shot down 10th December 1943 on arms drop to the resistance for the S O E over France and comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with pictures.

    The plane took part in the Dambuster raid code name O for Orange it dropped its mine on the Ennepe Dam but it failed to destroy it the aircraft returned safely. The pilot was flight sergeant William Clifford Townsend. 

    The Lancaster ED886 was on arms drop to the resistance for the S O E over France when it was shot down and crashed near Terramesnil which is near Doullens on the Somme in France.
