    This is a engine filter from inside an engine which is pretty much complete and has been very well cleaned in fact over cleaned. The part is a bit damaged from the impact of the crash and has most of its original colours it is in very solid condition and is not braking up or falling apart and is a nice one for the collection perfect for display the part is 4 inches long in size. The filter comes from German Heinkel He 111 bomber work number 2624 which was shot down on the 14th of August 1940 while attacking Hawarden airfield. The bomber was intercepted by RAF Hurricanes of number 213 squadron and Spitfires of number 7 squadron. The plane crashed landed at 9pm with all crew taken prisoner at Border house farm near Chester. The part comes with A5 laminated information card with pictures.

    The plane was shot down by Wing Commander J.Hallings-Pott also Squadron Leader J.McLean and Pilot Officer P.Ayerst. The crew taken Prisoner were Oberleutnant A.Wiesemann,Feldwebel H.Rodder,Unteroffizier W.Schaum also Unteroffizier G.Ullmann and Unteroffizier H.Kochy.
