    This is a large electrical part with many components and wiring still attached. This part is a large mag allow made part with Bakelite bits attached along with electrical parts overall is in fantastic condition and still retains a lot of its original colours which is very clear to see the part has damaged by the impact of the crash but it is in nice solid condition the part has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection the part is 8 inches long and 7 inches wide and heavy part. This part was recovered from RAF Lancaster bomber R5679 of 61 Squadron coded QR-O shot down on the night of 24th September 1942 and crashed in Denmark. This is a very nice group of relics from the famous Lancaster bomber and comes with a A5 laminated information sheet.

    Avro Lancaster R5679 of 61 Squadron coded QR-O was lost on the night of 24/25 September 1942 while engaged on mine laying operations to the Frisian Islands and the Baltic. 23 sorties were flown that night and this was the only aircraft lost.

    The whole crew perished in the crash. They were:

                                                                                                                      The Lancaster came down at 02.00hrs at Gronhoj, 15kms SW of Viberg. The aircraft exploded on impact.
