This is a German soldiers M40 Helmet with single army decal green,brown camouflage paint remains and large amount of battle damage with blast cracks and the front rim blown off .The helmet still has its single eagle decal and still has what looks like lots of its original brown and green paintwork very clear to see the helmet has some rust damage nothing to bad with no rust holes it does have an impact crack and hole in the front of it.The helmet is rusty and a bit pitted but it is very solid and not braking up or falling apart at all it has been very well cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection and a nice to find in this condition from the battlefield. The helmet was recovered from the airfield at Voroponovo which was in the 6th Army pocket during the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942-1943.The helmet comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards.
