German wooden crate for 10.5CM LEFH 18 field howitzer shell ammunition box which held 6 cartridges with maker markings and dated 1944 found in Dieppe originally used in the Normandy campaign in the summer of 1944

This is a German wooden crate for 10.5CM LEFH 18 field howitzer the box which held 6 cartridges it is complete the wood is still retains its original brown stain finnish with original black stamped markings still fairly clear to see .The box has the paper label remains inside inside not readable also one on the outside again no markings.The box has stamped maker marking and dated 1944 on the side very clear to see  it does not have any holes but has had woodworm at some point but has been treated. The hinges work fine and the lid still opens and closes fine the wood is in nice solid condition not braking up or falling apart the lock is missing but it still has its rope carry handle.The crate came from a private collection in Dieppe originally used by the German Army in the Normandy campaign in the summer of 1944.
