This is half a Building brick of the Cooler at Stalag Luft 3 the cooler is actually right near ware the Tunnel Harry runs which  they used in the Great Escape on the 25th March 1944.The brick half is solid and still retains its original colour probably used around the base of the building it has broken off over the 70 years of sitting in the Forest but overall in fantastic condition it is 4 half inches long and 4 inches wide .The brick was recovered by myself from the floor of the Cooler and was part of a wall at the site of the camp in Zagan on the 24th October 2017.This floor section comes with a laminated A5 information sheet with photos.A very nice and rare relic from the most famous prisoner of war camp in world war 2.

The pow camp ran from March 193 until January 1945 and held Allied aircrew officers.Renowned for the night of the 25th March 1944 when 76 Allied Officers escaped in the Great Escape. The camp remains are still visible in the woods in Zagan which is modern day Poland.
