This is a hard to find German late war steel made flare case which were not made in great numbers. The case is complete but with non of the original black stamped markings can be seen or paintwork but with only fairly light surface rust and no holes it has been nicely cleaned is perfect for display or any collection. The case was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield.
