This is Triple shell wooden crate internal racking remains for 75cm KwK 40 shells used by German Panzer 4 tank. The two center sections still have 3 racking slots attached to them which are partly broken and still with nails in place they are still very solid not braking up or falling apart but does have some cracks and discolor from being buried but nothing to bad it has been nicely cleaned and are perfect for display or any collection and could be the rare bit to go back in to the box if you have one without racking the sections are 35 inches long. The wooden crate parts were recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield. The crate ends come with a A5 laminated information card.
