    This is a very rare German ammunition wooden crate which held 15 stick grenades 24's. The box has 2 paper labels on the outside at the front of the crate which are fairly complete with some readable maker markings and dates with a last pack date of 1943.The box is in fantastic condition with all its original white stamped markings on the front as well it does have its complete rope carry handle the lid still opens and closes perfectly it has its original black paintwork it has no real damage but is a well used box it is still very solid not braking up or falling apart it has had wood worm at some point but nothing to bad and it has been treated it is missing its internal racking but that is it this is a rare very well preserved box a very nice example of this famous stick grenade crate. The crate came from a private collection in Dieppe originally used by the German Army in the Normandy campaign in the summer of 1944 and comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards.
