Very rare massive airframe structure which has been impact hole damaged either being shot down or on impact following the crash of a German V 1 flying bomb which crashed around the Village of Northiam in East Sussex in 1944-1945.

This is a very rare massive section of airframe structure from the very famous German V 1 flying bomb.This panel is rare with clear to see impact hole the panel is damaged from either being shot down by cannon fire or on impact following the crash solid metal structure part from a wing or tail fin a complete panel which has no real original paintwork it is rusty but solid and in relic condition but not braking up or crumbling it has been very well cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection it is a nice and very large bit at 37 inches long and 20 inches wide in size.The part was recovered from the crash site of German V 1 flying bomb which crashed around the Village of Northiam in East Sussex in 1944-1945. .A unbelievably hard to find relic from a German V1 rocket fired at Great Britain during hart of Hitlers rocket offensive late in the war which comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with photos and maps of the area it crashed. 

There were 16 German V1 bombs in total that crashed around the village of Northiam, which is north of Rye in East Sussex, during 1944 and 1945. This one crashed on Farm on the outskirts of the village but which one it is exactly is unknown.

The V-1 was the first of the Vergeltungswaffen (V-weapons) deployed for the terror bombing of London. It was developed at Peenemünde Army Research Center in 1939 by the Luftwaffe at the beginning of the Second World War, and during initial development was known by the codename "Cherry Stone". Because of its limited range, the thousands of V-1 missiles launched into England were fired from launch facilities along the French (Pas-de-Calais) and Dutch coasts.
