This is a German 20mm Flak 30/38 Anti-aircraft gun magazine box which is very nice condition semi-relic at worst .The box does have a lot of its rare late 1942 pattern original Dunkelgelb[sand camouflage] colour paintwork on the outside and inside also the box is complete with its internal magazine holders so magazines fit in it perfectly and with both its carry handles which move and its lock works and the box locks and unlocks but is a bit stiff the lid does open and close properly the box has lots of surface rust but no rust holes that can be seen it is in overall very nice condition but still very rare to find from the battlefield in such good condition with so much paintwork. The box was bought in 1986 at the famous military fair in the village of Le Gleize and comes with a A5 laminated information card. This village which was captured by the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler the battle fought in December 1944 during the Ardennes Forest campaign from the Battle of the Bulge in 1944-45. The box comes with A5 laminated information card.
The German forces in the village were surrounded by American forces at La Gleize, 800 survivors of the 1st Panzer SS lead by Peiper fled on Christmas Eve, leaving behind 135 armoured vehicles including the 69 tons King Tiger
