These are barbed wire cutters German World War 1 issue army barbed wire cutters that have been re used in World War 2 by the Wehrmacht. The barbed wire cutters which has rusted solid and the handles are missing there covers. The wire cutters are in relic but still very solid condition they do not work due to the rust they have some dirt and muck om on them still from the recovery but they have been lightly cleaned and are very solid not braking up at all and are perfect for display or any collection. The cutters were recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield.
