    This is a very rare find from the battlefield a German gas mask filter in relic condition for but nice for its age and that fact it was been buried for 90 odd years is amazing as it is such a fragile item. The filter is in relic but very solid condition and still has some remains of the original green paintwork it has been nicely cleaned it is very solid and perfect for display or any collection and a real one of to get a German gas mask relic like this from the battlefield. The gas mask filter was recovered from a rubbish pit near the old German trench line near the village of Mametz on the Somme battlefield of 1916 The Somme battlefield many years ago.A very nice relic from the famous Somme battlefield.The filter comes with A5 laminated information card.
