    This is a hard to find rare 1917 pattern number 106 fuse for chemical shell [a gas shell fuse] fired by the 18 pounder artillery gun. The shell fuse is not complete it has damaged from being fired it is in nice condition with some light pitting non of its original markings can be seen it was recovered this is a nice solid condition fuse which is perfect for display or any collection and is very rare to get one recovered from the battlefield.The fuse was recovered on the Ypres Battlefield in Belgium of 1914-1918.
