    This is a complete nose section from British MARK 1 60 pounder shell with number 80 fuse fired by long range field gun. The shell projectile nose is in very good condition still with most of its original markings including the date 1917 and still its original brass colour also the steel case nose cone which the fuse sits in the steel rim but does not screw right back in but is a nice black colour this shrapnel shell section which came from the very large British 60 pounder artillery gun which were used in only small numbers late on in the war. This fuse was recovered from the Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.A very nice relic which comes with A5 laminated information card.
