This is a very rare 1914 pattern open top pistol holster which is near complete and a lovely condition relic. The holster has dried out and is slightly miss shaped it is in semi- relic condition at worst but very solid condition not braking up or falling apart it has been left in as found condition apart from a very light clean to show the blackness of the leather and is perfect for display or any collection so rare to get from the battlefield as leather items are fragile and normally that just rot away. The holster was recovered in 2011 from the area that was Guillemont Station on the July-August 1916 battlefield on the outskirts of the village of Guillemont on the famous battlefield. The holster comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards.
