This is a Very rare battlefield relic a German soldiers pickelhaube well used nice original example in as found condition but missing all of its brass parts and leather peak .This pickelhaube is in nice condition for a relic it is not complete but is in as found condition with it being bent and miss shaped from being in a damp bunker for 80-90 odd years. This helmet is a well used example with dirt from wear and tear also slightly damaged from being buried but it is still its nice black original black colour but does discolor inside from the damp and wet but the leather is solid and not braking or crumbling and is in found condition which is rare find .The helmet was recovered from old German dugout used from around 1915 and ended up on the battlefield at Passchendaele,1917 part of the third battle of Ypres. The helmet comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures.
