This is s Pair of aluminium airframe parts both with lots of original paint work,cockpit and a blown section of cockpit perspex from a German battle of Britain bomber. The parts have been nicely cleaned and retain lots of original colours and paintwork they have been mounted in to a glass fronted box frame with plane and crash information and pictures the frame is 13 inches by 13 inches in size. These parts are from German Heinkel 111 bomber of 4/KG53 number 5536 shot down on the 29 October 1940 and crashed at Harwich in Essex during the battle of Britain.

The crew abandoned the plane believing that they were over Holland. The plane was on a bombing sortie to bomb Gravesend Aerodrome. The plane crashed in the River Stour near Parkeston Quay at Harwich in Essex. The crew Obereldwebel K.Penzel bailed out and was captured unhurt. Oberfeldwebel H.Metzger,Unteroffizier F.Sigger,Unteroffizier J.Klitscher and Unteroffizier H.Luddecke all bailed out and were captured; slightly injured.
