    This is a rare to find relic from the famous battle of Arnhem in the Netherlands.This a Glass framed display a section of British parachute silk the frame is 12 inches long by  10 inches wide. This rare to find parachute relic obviously it does have some damage  and stains with marks in the fabric still solid and not braking up of crumbling it has dried out quite well after the recovery and a nice size it is perfect for display or in a collection and is a nice mounted display peace. The parachute silk fragment was recovered in 1990’s from the site of parachute and supply drops in landing zone X' near Wolfheze woods, west-northwest of Arnhem on the 17th September 1944.The soldiers and supplies that landed there were part of the 1st Parachute Brigade fighting during Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands.
