    This is a Rare German 1915 pattern mess tin in semi relic condition which is missing its lid but has lots of impact battle damage clear to see and has miss shaped with the damage. The tin in very nice condition with lots of original black paintwork remains clear to see.This mess tin is in nice solid condition this aluminium made tin has no rust only impact holes this tin which is not an easy find these days in this good a condition it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection.The mess tin was recovered in 2016 from the remains of an old German trench line near the village of Mametz on the Somme battlefield in France this area saw very heavy fighting during the battle on the 1st July 1916. A very nice relic from The famous Somme battlefield.
