This is a very rare Complete German short 15cm high explosive shell with a Dopp Z 92 45mm time and percussion fuse and is fired by 15cm S.F.H 02 or the later S.F.H 13 heavy field howitzer which is in fantastic condition with the fuse having all of its maker markings,numbers and is dated 1918. The steel case has some of its original colour with a bit of discolor but has been mostly over painted in brown paint it still has its brass driving band in place its nice brass colour the outer case is only lightly pitted with no holes other then 2 small drilled ones for deactivation and no damage the fuse which is its shiny brass colour it does not screw in at all but sits in there nicely. The projectile is completely empty and inert it has been well cleaned and overall perfect condition for display and very rare one for any collection.The projectile was found many years ago on the Somme battlefield of 1916-1918 and has been in a private collection ever since and comes with a A5 laminated information card.
