    This is a very rare complete German short 15cm high explosive shell with a Gr.Z 14 45mm with percussion fuse detonator without delay model 1914 fuse this was fired by 15cm S.F.H 02 or S.F.H 13 heavy field howitzer which is in fantastic condition with the fuse having all of its maker markings,numbers and is dated 1915. The steel case has some of its original colour but has been mostly over painted in yellow paint  it still has its brass driving band in place its nice brass colour the outer case is only lightly pitted with no holes and no damage the fuse which is its shiny brass colour it does not screw in at all but sits in there nicely it does screw in and out but it is very stiff. The projectile is completely empty and inert it has been well cleaned and overall perfect condition for display and very rare one for any collection.The projectile was found many years ago on the Somme battlefield of 1916-1918 and has been in a private collection ever since and comes with a A5 laminated information card.
