This is a German soldiers gas mask near complete and is still solid and very rare to find in this condition.The mask is missing its back straps and filter but other that still has green paintwork on the metal piping the eyelets are dirty but with a clean you can see out of them and the leather mask its self is in fantastic condition for its age the leather is solid and crumbling or braking up. The mask was found in the Mametz area on The Somme battlefield many years ago.A very nice relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
