This is a nice and rare find A fired and used British tail fin from a Piat bomb fired by the [Projector, Infantry, Anti-Tank] Mk I portable anti-tank weapon.The rocket part is rusty but still has some clear to see green and brown camouflage paintwork remains it is still complete with its fin but does have some rust damage and small rust holes,The rocket part is in very nice condition it is very solid not braking up at all it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The rocket tail which is empty and completely inert and overall lovely condition relic.The rear section was recovered which was recovered from the pre-D-Day invasion training site at Witley camp in Surrey in Southern England.The rocket tail comes with A5 laminated information card with pictures
British Army training complex at Witley Camp was an extensive military base during World War One and Two. Today, all that remains today is dense woodland. By the end of both World Wars, the camp was largely deconstructed and removed.
