    Recovered from the battlefield near the village of Houffalize in the Ardennes by a local collector - only left the area around 5 years ago to come to the UK. The hatch is in fantastic condition with remains of original paintwork in places. lots of scarring from battle damage / shrapnel hits.  . A great addition to a collection and a rare item to find - especially in this condition! 

    The hatch came from a Sherman Tank of the 2nd Armoured Division which was used during the Battle against the 116th Panzer Division in January 1945 stopping German advance during the Bulge battle, winter of 1944-1945.
