    This is a German soldiers pith helmet badge which is the Army eagle shield which is in nice solid condition with its original markings clearly visible and aluminium made. The shield is in very nice relic condition with its swastika clear to see and only has small amount of damage to the top of the badge on the back the pins are missing it has been nicely cleaned and retains some original colour and is perfect for display or any collection. This badge which was recovered in 2023 during building works on the site of an old German factory in Berlin which belonged to one of the main manufacturers Landers who were part of the cooperative that made Army uniform for the Afrikakorps from 1940 until 1943.These badges were never issued to soldiers as they were made but never used properly because of the German Afrikakorps surrender in Tunisia in 1943.The shield comes with A5 laminated information card.
