    This is a American brass shell case a 75mm M5 fired by the M5 anti-tank gun which is a type 1.The brass shell case which it is dated 1943 and has all its maker markings very clear to see.This case which is in nice condition it still retains its nice shiny brass colour and has no real damage just a bit around the neck but is a nice example which has cleaned up very well and is perfect for display or any collection.The shell case was bought in 1986 at the famous military fair in the village of Le Gleize and comes with a A5 laminated information card. This village which was captured by the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler the battle fought in December 1944 during the Ardennes Forest campaign from the Battle of the Bulge in 1944-45.

    The German forces in the village were surrounded by American forces at La Gleize, 800 survivors of the 1st Panzer SS lead by Peiper fled on Christmas Eve, leaving behind 135 armoured vehicles including the 69 tons King Tiger
