American army boots recovered from the woods in the area of the battle on the longvilly road  - 19th December 1944. Were in a local private collection until leaving the area for the first time in 2020 .

They have been left in as found condition as cleaning would lose the character and possibly cause damage.

The "Battle on the Longvilly Road" refers to a crucial engagement during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II, where American forces, primarily from the 10th Armoured Division's Combat Command B ("Team Cherry"), fought fiercely against German Panzer Lehr Division troops to defend the road leading into Bastogne, Belgium, specifically the stretch between the villages of Longvilly and Mageretthis battle was critical in attempting to prevent the Germans from capturing Bastogne by blocking their access along this key route
