    This is a lovely condition French quill handle M1886 pattern bayonet still in its scabbard which is near complete and has its brass handle. The bayonet is only missing the tip of its blade as is the bottom of the scabbard missing as well and has its lovely original colours it is in very nice relic but solid condition which has been nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The bayonet was recovered from where the British and French front lines meet in the area at Maricourt on the June-July 1916 Somme battlefield. The bayonet comes with A5 laminated information card.
