    This is a very rare section of tubed aluminium airframe structure still with lots of original dark blue paintwork remains. All the paintwork is very clear to see and it still retains a lot of original colour. The section has ripped off by the impact of the crash it is in relic but solid condition and has been nicely cleaned perfect for display it is 8 inches long by 1 inches wide in size. The part has been recovered from the crash site of a American Grumman Wildcat fighter shot down and crashed during the air war over the Island of Guadlcanal from the 1942-1943 battlefield. A very rare part to get hold of from the war in the Pacific and comes with a A5 laminated information sheet with picture.
