This is a very rare find Luftwaffe Raketensprensprenggranate panzerblitz 8cm air to ground rocket this one is empty and inert.These rockets were only carried by JU87 stuka and the Messerschmitt 262 jet and not in wide spread use by the Luftwaffe and very hard to find any examples of this late war rocket this one would have been used by the 262 jet as they were the planes based on the airfield.This one which is in semi- relic condition it is very solid with surface rust and pitting but not braking up or falling apart and it does not have any rust damage or impact impact damage it has been over painted black to help preserve it the top and the bottom both unscrew and come apart like they should from the centre of the case it has been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection.The rocket was recovered on an old Luftwaffe airfield East of Essen which based Messerschmitt 262 jets from late 1944.A very rare German rocket used in the defence of the Reich in the last months of the war.The rocket comes with a laminated A5 information card with pictures.
