This is a battle damaged German 3.7cm Flak 18/36/37 anti-aircraft gun ammunition tray which is not complete it in relic condition it has ripped and bent up by an explosion.The magazine has lots clear to see original colour and paintwork all over it is in relic condition it does not have any original markings and is in very solid condition it does have rust but with no rust holes or bad damage other then the battle-damage it is not braking up or falling apart it has been well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The tray which is a unusual find from the battlefield it was recovered from a lake East of Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest from the Battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-45.The tray comes with A5 laminated information card.
The tray was recovered from a lake which was used as a dump site for battlefield clearance the area where the lake is, was attacked by the German 26th Volksgrenadier Division and elements of the Panzer Lehr Division they had the only anti-aircraft guns in the area.
