This is a Very rare British Naval crate which carried 10 fuses for the hedgehog anti submarine mortar used on many British war ships. The box has no internal racking but the framing of the racking is still there the wood is still solid with no major damage still retains a lot of its green original paintwork also with red stripe and has original black stamped markings on the out side of the box mostly on the back and dated Feburary 1945 on the side of the crate it is maker marked and dated 1944 when it was made also has remains of paper label on the front .The box did have wood worm but has been treated also has its metal wire carry handles but one is broken the lid still opens and closes and the catches work properly but are very stiff this is fantastic condition example of this very hard to find naval crate.
