    This is a German civilian made small medical box re used by the Wehrmacht. The box with its original red cross markings on the front is in fantastic condition the wood still retains its original brown colour the hinge is in nice condition and works also the lock is there but does not work it does not have a carry handle the lid still opens and closes perfectly the wood has bit of small damage from wear and tear and has had wood worm but has been treated.On the inside of the box is in just as good condition as the outside but is missing its paper label on the back of the lid the box is 14 inches by 12 inches in size.The box was found in the village of Bras which on the 13th January 1945 the Americans were fighting against the German 26th Volksgrenadier Division the last German soldiers occupying the village of Bras near Bastogne at the end of the Battle of the Bulge 1944-1945.The  box comes with A5 laminated information card with picture 

    On January 14th 1945 in the village of Bras a historic meeting took place when the American forces linked up with the British forces and drove the Germans back in to Germany. The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders from Scotland meet up with soldiers from the U.S. 87th Infantry Division in Bras on that day effectively closing the bulge.
